‘The Gibbet’.

Traditionally a ‘gibbet’ is the name given to a structure involved in public hangings and executions. However this ‘gibbet’ is a piece of unique training equipment used by Leyton Orient in 1956. It looks like it was used for things like headers and volleys. With teams now back at pre-season training I doubt that any of the clubs these days use any kind of equipment like this!
