Deportes Tolima are a professional football club based in Colombia. 220px-Deportes_Tolima_logo.svgThey were formed in 1954 and have had some moderate success in Colombian football. The ‘glory years’ for the team were undoubtedly in the late 1970s and early 1980s and if you ask a fan of El Vinotinto y Oro about that side they will tell you that they had a team full of talent from both Colombia and Argentina. What makes the team a little more interesting is the choice of kit they had during that era (the kit and most definitely the hairstyles). BONOS-KOKORIKOWhen a chain of chicken restaurants approached Tolima to strike up a lucrative sponsorship agreement the board agreed immediately. One thing had to change as a result of the sponsorship, the name. The team took the name ‘Club Deportes Kokorico Tolima’ (Kokorico is still a popular fast food chain in South America). The fast food giants then went about redesigning the club kit.
