In April of 1965 two Dutch teams based in the city of Enschede (Sportclub Enschede and Enschedese Boys) merged to form FC Twente. The ‘Tukkers’ have had a reasonably successful journey through the years (although they did declare themselves bankrupt in 2003) and they have won the Dutch Eredivisie on one occasion. Recently they celebrated their 50th anniversary and despite some troubles off the field (more financial difficulties) the supporters organised a spectacular display to highlight this 50th year.

Taking to the streets armed with flares and flags they organised themselves in the streets of Enschede. The ‘Ultras Vak-P’ then lit their 300 flares along with a fireworks display to unveil a giant ’50’ that dominated the city skyline and looked pretty spectacular from the air.
