Sponsors are necessary evil in football. For many of us our club has had its fair share of kits ruined with overbearing sponsors or garish logos. It is interesting though to think about those companies that have become famously linked with each club. When I think of Dundee United I always think of Telewest, or for those a bit older, VG.

With that in mind the radio station Talksport recently had the idea of mixing together the new kits of English Premiership sides with the sponsors that have become synonymous with each side.

Here are the results –

Amazing how some of these sponsors can spark memories of each club wearing the original kits, plus for a few the old sponsors look a hell of a lot nicer than the new ones!
